Puppy Grooming School FAQ

1. Will my puppy be groomed during Puppy Grooming School

   • The primary goal of Puppy Grooming School is to build a solid foundation so that your puppy can have a life-long positive association with the full grooming procedure.  At Puppy Grooming School we take the full grooming procedure and break it down into small pieces and introduce them to your puppy at a pace they are comfortable with.  As your puppy’s comfort with grooming procedures grows we will be able to complete more grooming at each session.   Whatever grooming is completed in the session is included in the Puppy Grooming School fee.

2. How long is each session?

   • A puppy’s attention span can be pretty short.  As such, we keep the sessions short.  Each session is about one hour

3. How often do we go to Puppy Grooming School?

   • Weekly sessions are recommended.  However, we understand that this can be a  significant time and financial commitment.   Bi-weekly sessions can work.  However, this will mean more homework for you and your puppy.

4. What will be expected from me?

   • For those new to Comfort One Pet Grooming there is an orientation prior to starting Puppy Grooming School.

   • PLEASE NOTE: Orientation is approximately 1 hour and provided at a cost of $52

   • Attend each session with your puppy with your puppy’s favorite toy and/or treat.

   • Practice the skills learned from Puppy Grooming School at home in between sessions.
